Attraction Queue Accommodations

At Universal Orlando Resort, we provide both inclusive environments and accessible experiences for our Guests using wheelchairs and other assistive devices.

Universal Orlando provides reasonable accommodation to Guests whose disability prevents them from waiting for extended periods in attraction and haunted house queues. These accommodations are intended to provide equal access to theme park attractions and not to bypass other Guests waiting in the attraction or haunted house queue.

Standing in an attraction queue for long periods of time can sometimes make a visit challenging for a Guest with a disability. Each attraction is equipped with an Attraction Queue Re-Entry process which provides support for a Guest in need of an unexpected break that requires the exit of a queue. The Attraction Queue Re-Entry process allows one (1) Guest (or a Guest with a companion) to step out of an attraction queue for a brief period and rejoin their travel party when they are ready. The remaining members of the travel party must remain in the queue. Prior to exiting the queue, the Guest exiting should take note of their location so they can be found when the Guest returns. When the Guest (or Guest with a companion) is ready to rejoin, they will connect with a Team Member at the attraction entrance who will assist in reconnecting them with their travel party. Because each attraction’s queue is designed a little differently, the process for reuniting with the travel party will vary.

How the Attraction Queue Re-Entry Process works:

  1. If you require a short break from waiting in the attraction queue, you may exit at any time while your travel party remains in line.
  2. When you are ready to rejoin your travel party, check in with a Team Member located at the front of the attraction and they will assist you in reconnecting with your travel party.
    • Note: Each attraction has a unique queue design, which means the process for reconnecting with your travel party may vary.
In addition to the information provided below, Guests can learn more by contacting our Universal Destinations & Experiences Guest Accessibility team at (407) 224-4233 or (833) 892-4365.

Guests are encouraged to request an attraction or haunted house queue accommodation prior to arriving at Universal Orlando by registering for an IBCCES Individual Accessibility Card (IAC) at AccessibilityCard.org within 30 days of their visit to the park or at least 48 hours before arrival. To allow for time for review and processing. The IAC registration consists of an online application that includes uploading necessary documentation. IBCCES does not require or ask Guests to disclose their medical or psychological diagnosis or condition. Once an IAC is issued, a Universal Destinations & Experiences Guest Accessibility Team Member will contact the cardholder to discuss the appropriate queue accommodation for the cardholder’s visit.

Guests who only need to use their mobility device do not need to apply for the IAC or an AAP as our attraction and haunted house queues are accessible at Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Epic Universe. Guests visiting Volcano Bay should refer to the Volcano Bay Guide for Safety & Accessibility or contact the Universal Destinations & Experiences Guest Accessibility Team.

Note: An IAC does not guarantee a guest will receive a specific attraction and haunted house queue accommodation. The Universal Destinations and Experiences Guest Accessibility team will determine the appropriate queue accommodation based on the cardholder’s specific needs.

Guests who are unable to register in advance or have any other questions may contact the Universal Team at (407) 224-4233 or (833) 892-4365.

If a Guest is offered an Attractions Assistance Pass (AAP) as their accommodation, the AAP will be added to their Universal account and will be accessible via the Universal mobile app. If a Guest does not have a device that supports the Universal Orlando Resort App or chooses not to use it, they should visit Guest Services for an alternate accommodation method. If a Guest is offered an AAP as their accommodation and visits Universal Volcano Bay, they will need to visit Guest Services to receive a designated AAP wristband with a QR code linked to their AAP.

Note: Guests experiencing issues while using the AAP should visit Guest Services. Universal Orlando does not issue the IAC. Only IBCCES can issue the IAC.

Guests must have valid event admission to access attractions and haunted houses after regular park hours.
