Attraction Queue Accommodations
At Universal Orlando Resort, we provide both inclusive environments and accessible experiences for our Guests using wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
Universal Orlando provides reasonable accommodations to Guests whose disability prevents them from waiting for extended periods in attraction queues. These accommodations are intended to provide equal access to theme park attractions and not to bypass other Guests waiting in the attraction queue.
Standing in an attraction queue for long periods of time can sometimes make a visit challenging for a Guest with a disability. Each attraction is equipped with an Attraction Queue Re-Entry process which provides support for a Guest in need of an unexpected break that requires the exit of a queue. The Attraction Queue Re-Entry process allows one (1) Guest (or a Guest with a companion) to step out of an attraction queue for a brief period and rejoin their travel party when they are ready. The remaining members of the travel party must remain in the queue. Prior to exiting the queue, the Guest exiting should take note of their location so they can be found when the Guest returns. When the Guest (or Guest with a companion) is ready to rejoin, they will connect with a Team Member at the attraction entrance who will assist in reconnecting them with their travel party. Because each attraction's queue is designed a little differently, the process for reuniting with the travel party will vary.
How the Attraction Queue Re-Entry Process works:
- If you require a short break from waiting in the attraction queue, you may exit at any time while your travel party remains in line.
- When you are ready to rejoin your travel party, check in with a Team Member located at the front of the attraction and they will assist you in reconnecting with your travel party.
- Note: Each attraction has a unique queue design, which means the process for reconnecting with your travel party may vary.
Guests may request an attraction queue accommodation prior to arriving at Universal Orlando by registering for an IBCCES Individual Accessibility Card (IAC) at AccessibilityCard.org within 30 days of their visit to the park and at least 48 hours before their visit. The IAC registration consists of an online application that includes uploading necessary documentation. IBCCES does not require or ask Guests to disclose their medical or psychological diagnosis or condition. Once the Guest receives an approved IAC, a Universal Destinations & Experiences Guest Accessibility Team Member will contact the cardholder to discuss the appropriate attraction queue accommodation for the cardholder's visit.
Guests who only need to use their mobility device or need to utilise the Attraction Queue Re-Entry process do not need to apply for the IAC as our attraction queues are accessible at Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Universal Epic Universe. Guests visiting Volcano Bay should refer to the Volcano Bay Guide for Safety & Accessibility or contact the Universal Destinations & Experiences Guest Accessibility Team.
Note: An IAC does not guarantee a Guest will receive a specific accommodation. The Universal Destinations and Experiences Guest Accessibility team will determine the appropriate queue accommodation based on the cardholder's specific needs.
Guests who are unable to register in advance or have any other questions may contact the Universal Destinations and Experiences Guest Accessibility team at (407) 224-4233 or visit any Guest Services location at the theme parks for additional information.
Note: Universal Orlando does not issue the IAC. Only IBCCES can issue the IAC.

Guests Using Manual Wheelchairs And ECVs
Wheelchairs are available to rent for $15 per day and signed rental contract. Regular Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs) are available to rent for $75 per day and Canopy ECVs are available to rent for $95 per day, both of which require a signed rental contract. Universal Orlando's resort shuttles are equipped with a wheelchair lift to transport Guests to/from our on-site hotels, CityWalk and Volcano Bay. Wheelchairs, ECVs and other mobility devices must fit without being forced on lifts, ramps and in designated wheelchair spaces. Once a guest manoeuvres the wheelchair/mobility device into the designated space, the mobility devices must be securely fastened by the shuttle driver using the onboard restraints. Guests may remain in securely fastened wheelchairs, and guests may remain in securely fastened strollers-as-wheelchairs as long as the stroller is rated and labelled WC-19 for transport purposes and has appropriate attachment points. Guests in ECVs and other mobility devices must transfer to the shuttle seating.
At most of our attractions, the queue experience is an important part of telling the story of the overall attraction experience. Although our attraction queues (with the exception of Hogwarts Express™) cannot accommodate Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs), all attraction queues are accessible to guests using wheelchairs (with the exception of Pteranodon Flyers™ in Universal Islands of Adventure—see an Attractions Attendant for assistance). There are specific boarding requirements and accommodations for those using wheelchairs at each attraction. At most attractions, if you're capable of transferring to the ride vehicle seat either by yourself or with the assistance of someone in your party, you may transfer. To see a list of requirements and accommodations for all attractions, please speak with an attendant or see the Universal Orlando Resort Guide for Safety and Accessibility (Universal Epic Universe, Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure; Volcano Bay).
In addition, there are certain attractions that are capable of allowing Guests to remain in their standard wheelchair, while other attractions have been designed to easily accommodate those transferring from their wheelchair to the ride vehicle. The see the list of attractions, please refer to the Guide for Safety and Accessibility (Universal Epic Universe, Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure; Volcano Bay).
For your convenience, Universal Orlando Resort's shopping and dining venues are wheelchair accessible. Also, our stage shows and parades have reserved "Accessible Viewing" areas marked with the International Symbol of Accessibility. Please see an attendant for assistance.
All Universal Orlando hotels comply with accessibility requirements to ensure specially equipped guest rooms are available. Restaurants are wheelchair accessible, and all accessible guest room entrances include room numbers in Braille.

A Quiet Room is available in Universal Epic Universe at the Family Care Centre located adjacent to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ — Ministry of Magic™.
